What can I use to fix a Alpine Reference series speaker where the rubber came off the the cone?
What can I use to fix a Alpine Reference series speaker where the rubber came off the the cone (the top inner part, not the part near the coil).
Here is a picture of my subwoofer if that helps. I heard some places got Speaker glue. Any big chains got them? Or can someone recommend a brand? And how would I use this glue. The whole rubber came out. Its still there. They are not connected anymore.

The part where the black rubber and the gray speaker part are not touching anymore.
First off, that’s an InfinityReference. Not an Alpine.
Anyway, use clear RTV silicone from a car parts store. It is both strong and flexible.
I recently used it to fix my BostonAcousticsG5 10″. It worked a charm. It’s been holding up fine to the beating for about a month now. It still sounds beautiful as it did when I first got it -even though it IS a G5! Clear RTV silicone is really strong yet flexible stuff!
Just put a nice glob over the crack/hole and spread it even. It needs to be done on the rear also. Allow 24 hours to dry. If you don’t, it’ll bust right back open.
