PC Blu-ray Drive won’t play Blu-rays?
I recently installed a Pioneer BDR-205BK 12x BD-RE with DVD±RW SATA into my new computer and it won’t play blu-rays any idea how to correct this?
I’m running windows 7 and the disc drive didn’t come with any software.

It’s listed as a blu-ray drive, has the blu-ray logo on the front.

As aforementioned, you need Blu-ray playback software to be able to play back Blu-Ray discs.
ALSO, Since Blu-Ray discs are encrypted by HDCP to prevent illegal copying, it will only play if you also have an HDCP-compliant video card AND an HDCP-compliant monitor.
You best make sure you got those HDCP-compliant hardware pieces in addition to getting the Blu-Ray playback software.
