Pioneer Dvr 110d Problems
There is something wrong with my comp?
I just installed a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-110D drive. It shows up in the bios, it shows up in the device manager, and I can access it through typing it its drive letter (F: after guessing it). But the one place I cant access it is in the My Computer ‘Folder’. How can I fix this problem? I was able to grab about 700mb of info and copy it onto a CD for another computer(the one that the DVD drive was supposed to be for) so this shows that the drive works and can be accessed indirectly; I just cant access it on the My Computer ‘Folder’.
DVD Drive are often treated as removable drive in XP system and they might not be pick up properly when booting up…
Since your PC Is able to “see” the drive, there may be some set up configuration that will need to be repaired..
Try the following…
Right-click on My Computer and choose Manage
Click on Disk Management
If you find the removable disk, right-click that removable disk and select “Change drive letter and paths” , use another drive number
If the DVD reader is working, the computer should try to resolve the problem; if not, try your DVD on another computer just to check.
