how many watt psu should i get for the following setup?
Intel Core i7 Extreme
MSI Eclipse X58
2 x 1 GB HD4850 in crossfire
4GB (2 x XMS3 2GB) PC-12800
Windows vista ultimate
BenQ 1920×1080 HD monitor (21.5)
Pioneer 216 DVR
Seagate Barracuda 1-TB Hard Drive
With an I7 processor and 2 HD4850s, you’re going to want to get a PSU that is rated at 600watts or greater. Video Cards now a days take up a LOT of power.
The more Hard Drives you add, the more power you are going to want to so a 600watt should be able to work for you.
I have an E8400 and 2x 9800GTX and I use a 550 Watt and it is more than sufficient.
