Pioneer Elite Vsx 3
Surround sound help anyone?
I have a very expensive home theater and i cant seem to get the best performance from my home theater. My biggest problem is my center channel, it seems weak. I have Definitive Technology CLR 2002 center and it seems to lack power sometimes, my system includes: Pioneer Elite VSX-56 Definitive Tech fronts-BP-8′S, Playstation 3 console, Audio quest cabling, optic and speaker cable. Velodyne Sub 12 inch. Monster Power center. Would my room have something to do with it, my ceiling is only 6ft high. Any help would be great guys, thanks!!!!!!
Biggest factor would be placement of the center. Are the tweeters aimed at your ears?
Also You should be able to up the volume of the center in your setup. If necessary take down your other speakers and up the center boost.
Room acoustics can certainly effect sound. 6ft is kind of short. You may also consider that your speakers aren’t set up at the right crossovers.
Make sure your speakers are all set to small. You may try bringing up crossover frequencies as well.
If you are lost at my recommendations check the VSX-56 manual. It should guide you through speaker setups.
If none of that works. Then Sell the CLR 2002 and get another BP-8′S You can actually use one for the center channel and it should match the other speakers perfectly.
