Pioneer Ghost Radio

pioneer ghost radio
pioneer deh1400 cd player wont put sound out through normal speaker channels, but have sound to amp, whats up?

ive been using this cd player for a while, it may have given up the ghost on me, but id like to try to fix it before buying a new one, i have sound going to the amp, but if i disconnect the rcas from that then i have no sound at all, same thing radio/cd, i took the cover off, no obvious damage(no burnt electrical parts as far as i could see) tried blowing some compressed air through it, put it back together and it does the same thing, any ideas? while im at it, does dual make decent cd players? they seem to be cheap, but is it you get what you pay for in this case? thanks

it sounds more like the amp in the cd player went out. you can get a multi meter and test the impedance of the speakers at the harness behind the radio. if they read around 4 ohms then the speakers are fine. that radio also has a protect feature where if one speaker is blown the radio won’t put out any sound. i highly doubt if all of your speakers went out at once. get a multi meter and start testing.
also, dual is junk, you get what you pay for.
