why does WASP American society have something against living with family past 18?

I mean everyone acts like once a kid is 18 there supossed to move out of there house, it’s like a joke if you are in your mid 20′s and living with your parents. I’ve notice this is true in WASP culture but no others. For example Hispanics have no problem with this, neither do Jews or Italians, but WASP Americans think that its important to be a pioneer and be on your own. Why is this because its very annoying?

I think the general consensus is that once your 18, you should either be furthering your education by going to college or getting a job to prepare yourself for life on your own which can’t be done easily if you are working a job making peanuts rather than cashews. When I was 18 I was going to college full time living on campus and even working a campus job, I met my husband there and when we graduated the stupid state we lived in, you couldn’t find decent employment in what you went to school for, so we wound up living with his dad for three years we heard it often from the family oh you need to get out of the house and get a job and even if your living in a trailer in a trailer park you need to do it, basically they wanted us to screw up our lives running up debt rather than wait it out until we found something better. So I know how you feel but keep in mind that it’s not hard to be stuck living with your parents until they die if you don’t motivate yourself to do something with your life believe me I know. If my husband hadn’t put up his resume on line and went out of state to an interview we would of still been living with my father in law not a good idea. My brother works at a fast food restaurant and lives with his parents he’s 26 years old. Do you want to be that guy? Then want to leave your parents.
