Pioneer Kuro Elite Pro-151fd
What is the best tv, period? (on the consumer market)?
I’m leaning towards the 50″ Pioneer Elite Kuro Pro-111FD, but also am intrigued by the step up model, 50″ Elite Kuro Pro-101FD (signiture series), which is just a monitor…no speakers or HD tuner and is a little thinner.
I’ve seen the Pro-111FD in person and it looks phenomenal, but I haven’t seen the newer Pro-101FD in person…I’ve seen it’s big brother, the PRO-151FD and it’s beautiful. Will that mean the Pro-101FD will be just as good? Is it entirely made by Pioneer or did Panasonic made panels for that model?
Also, what is the best tv, in your opinion? (if not one of these)
Any and all details will help. Thanks!
to “amp”. I’m not concerned about the cost of the tv, so long as I get a deal under $3000. As for the CRT advice, I agree that is a viable option for quality. I own one! The Sony CRT, KD-34XBR955 and think it’s still a better picture than most flatscreens. And it’s 4 years old. The Kuro Elite is what I now think beats the CRT’s picture…

It might not be the cheapest, but it’s one of the best. You can get similarly-sized HD CRT TV’s for much less money in fact.
