Pioneer Pcm
I have a Pioneer sc 37 with a PS3 hdmi connected videno sound but cable has sound ,why no sound on the BD ?
Pioneer SC 37 lights up PCM when status button pushed. The comcast cable is wired hdmi and all speakers and subs work. The cd has phono cable and it works on stereo. I have tried everything but still do not get any sound only video when in the BD input mode.
I have checked the Pioner sc 37 user manual. So , I have some suggestions to you :
1. BD Input is used for HDCP compliant devices like (Bluray Player, DVD player), says if you want to record, you must use analog input for audio. So, IMO this port is a bit special port, you may recieve a compatibility problem with this port. You can try to add additional audio cable from the ps3 to the reciever.
2. In default, some of the HDMI input channels setuped different purposes so, if your device needs special options from default one, you need to change input channel manual by using remote control.
(Check Manuals, Input Setup Menu Part)
3. If your tv would support HDMI Audio Return Channel, so sound of the tv is input to the reciever via the HDMI terminal.
4. Your device has 5 HDMI input , 1 is front and 4 are rear. Why don’t you use just one of rear HDMI input for ps3.
