Pioneer Receiver Vsx-d412
Connect PC to a Receiver?
How do I connect, a PC to my Pioneer VSX-D412 receiver which is connected to a 5.1 channel speakers. The PC was purchased 4 years ago and I don’t think the motherboard will be able to support a new 5.1 sound cards that are available in market, if that is my only option. Is there a cable that can be used to connect my PC to these 5.1 speakers via the receiver? If upgrading to the sound card is the best way then could you also recommend some??
I’ve searched and couldn’t find much details on how to connect my PC to the receiver. Please hep..
Thanks a bunch!
A simple 3.5mm to rca y jack is all you need. About 5 bucks at radioshack, then use a rca cord the length you need to run from your computer to the back of your reciever. Plug in the rca’s and wolla!!! You have sound from your pc to your reciever for less than 10 bucks. Now if you want the 5.1 to be decoded, then a new sound card is definetely needed. One that supports 5.1 that is.
