Fan in deck turning on and off?
If I remember correctly, the fan used to spool up faster as the volume went up, now right at 1/4 volume on the knob itll start turning on and off, and anything above that itll run at full speed throughout the rest of the range. The fan is turning on and off erratically, and im not sure if this is normal operation or not. I dont wanna blow the power supply, so id like to fix this problem before I actually have to pay real money. Could this just be the fan going out? Or is it a fan control related problem? its a pioneer rx-590 tuner/casette/multi input box, manufactured in 1997
Since it seems erratic, I’d say that the fan or the controller are broken or starting to fail completely.
