Pioneer PDP-5050SX has on/data light that is orange.?
Pioneer PDP-5050SX has on/data light that is orange. Service manual says that orange on/data light means that remote control operation isn’t possible. I’ve tried all the obvious things like resetting the tv by the power button, and by unplugging the power. Have also changed the remote batteries, and I know they work because the red light flashes on the remote when a button is pressed, and the mode is also set correctly to tv. The infared receiver on the tv is not blocked. What else can I do??
Hi Bobby….I just had a look through the manual and this is what it says:”If the plasma indicator on the display is lighting up orange press power”……Have you tried pressing the power button on the right hand side of the plasma…instead of on the remote?….If you have tried all of the above with no result…..I highly suggest you get in touch with a technician to talk to, at… “www.pioneer.com” .Best of luck with it bobby.
