Pioneer Vcr Dvd Combo
I have a lg plasma,a old pioneer surrond sound system,a hd cable box,a vcr/dvd combo. how do i connect it all
The best thing to do is to get diagrams/pictures of all the connections you have available on these devices and take them to Radio Shack or Bestbuy and find a salesperson to help. You can probably get them to draw you a diagram and tell you what cables you need. Don’t be fooled into believing you need expensive cables though. The cheap cables will work just as well.
If it were me, the simplest thing I would do is;
1. Connect the HD cable box to the TV using the RF cable. (Antenna out on the Cable Box to Antenna A on the TV).
2. Connect the Audio Outputs from the TV to the Pioneers Video 1 “Audio Inputs”. Set the Pioneer to Video 1 and leave it there.
3. Connect the VCR/DVD to the TV by using S-Video out, or Component out on the VCR/DVD combo and connect it to the S-video in or Component In on the TV. Connect the Audio out of the VCR/DVD combo to the Audio in on the TV (same spot that the video out is connected to).
4. Turn everything on and use the Pioneers remote to control the volume. Use the HD cable remote to switch channels, use the VCR/DVD remote to control the DVD, and use the TV remote to switch the TV between TV and DVD…..
Seriously. It’s a pain in the @$$… Or, you could buy a logitech remote from BestBuy or Ebay, and program it to control everything.
