New PC specs, mainly for office work?

Hey all, just wanting to know what you guys though of my new Uni/essay writing rig. Plan is to add in a quad core, 600watt PSU and a 5770 a bit later down the track to bring it up to a reasonable gaming standard once I get rid of my older gaming rig. Specs are;

CPU: AMD Athlon II x2 240 (AMD haters GTFO =P)
MOBO: GB 785gt-UD3H
RAM: 4gb (2x2gb) G-Skill 1333mhz DDR3
GPU: Onboard HD 4200 (plays a few old games surprisingly well)
HDD: Seagate 500gb SATA and Seagate 2.5″ 40gb for OS
Case: Thermaltake v3 w/ 450watt PSU
Monitor: Asus VH202D 20″ (adding a second one once I get my 5770)
OS: 64bit Win7 Home OEM
Peripherals: MX518 mouse, some random logitech keyboard (tide me over to my G15) and Teac 2.0′s speakers

Overall I managed to pick the whole thing up for $680AU, not bad for a Uni student =D

I presume you know the PSU won’t cut it when you do the 5770…
Just a suggestion…to get a great PSU at a realistic price…use a power calculator to estimate
what you need…add 25% and then starting at that or just the next higher one available,
like it may come out to 483W after you add the 25% so start at 500W and using the “Helpful
links” section of advanced search, clic “with rebate” and look for a PSU that’s on the list I gave
you that has a rebate/w it…using the PSU at less than full capacity causes it to run cooler
which usually makes them last longer…but just a suggestion…

Nice rig…will have to check out the difference between the UD3H and the UD2H which is the one I’m familiar/w, but off the top of my head I’ll say that the Jap condensers are part of it…
Have been playing around/w the choice between the 250 or the 435 as a starter to last till I can get the 955…who knows the 435 might work well enough to just leave it as is..
