Teac Led Tv

New LED TV but no signal- Please help!?

Hi,
I just bought a new TEAC LED TV and an antenna thinking I would get digital signal or at least analogue signal but the antenna is not receiving any signal. The only two channels that it actually captures is Channel 9 and TVS which are again of very bad quality. Since I didn’t have an antenna plug in my new apartment, I had to buy the antenna itself but this didn’t work so I don’t know what will. Would buying a digital box be a smarter option or is there a way to bring the channels on my TV from the current antenna? Please Help

Thanks in advance,
A

The large quantity of indoor antennas for sale at all kinds of stores may lead you to believe they actually work well. They really don’t unless you are quite close to the TV transmitting towers. It’s very rare for any viewer to get all desired channels with an indoor antenna of any type. It’s almost as rare for anyone to get more than a very few channels with regularity. 60 years ago good TV reception was achieved with an outside antenna mounted as high as possible, and nothing really has changed as far as good antenna design goes.

Your problem will be solved by a better antenna, probably mounted outside above the roofline, and on a rotor if your stations are in different directions. If an outside antenna is out of the question for you, the next best thing is a full size one in the attic–they often work very well, much better than any indoor antenna.

If you can’t do that either, then you’re limited to whatever you can get with an indoor antenna and/or pay-TV options like cable.
