For example, if you know you have a large midterm project, you can plan your time accordingly. Leaving it to the last minute will cause stress and may result in a lower grade.
Another important consideration is where to study. Some students may find it easier to progress through their courses if they have a set place to study. If they have a place set aside in their home to set up their computer, books and notes this helps them. They can post a calendar on the wall with important due dates and milestones. This helps them focus on the course work.
Others just like to be comfortable. They may find it easier to study at the library, at the park, or while sitting on the couch. Each student is different, but each student needs to find what works for them. Once a student finds the optimum place to study they, will ultimately do better in school.
Different schools have different educational programs. With the advancement of the Internet, some schools have gone to a total online book system. They can view their school books on the computer screen. Some find it easy to study this way. Others struggle with this style of learning and reading. Be prepared to print out the books if this is an option. While it may take time and resources, it could greatly help you when learning to study online.
