Teaching Jobs Abroad Summer
Should I get a degree in Education or in International Business?
Okay, so I started out majoring in Education (elementary level.) Teaching would be an ideal job for me in the future (holidays, summer off, can spend time with future family, etc), but I wasn’t liking the pay rate so much. So – I switched my major to International Business. I love to travel, it is my favorite thing to do, so I figured why not make a career out of it? However, I am having second thoughts. If I decided to become a teacher, I could always teach abroad, but I’m not sure what my options are if I major in International Business. Yes, traveling the world is awesome but if I have a family, time with them is more important. So i’m having a little trouble deciding! Anyone know the avg pay rate of an Int. Bus major?
Honestly, I would think that even if you are taking a pay cut, it would be easier to get a job as a teacher. All of those business degrees are too broad and everyone has one. I do know someone who works in Int. Bus and LOVES it but I’m not sure how much he is paid. Just go with the one that you think would make you the most happy. I would think teaching would be more rewarding. Good Luck!
