Texas Teachers Budget
Budget cuts. Prison or education?
Nobody wants to cut the prison budget because that would lead to some politician or another being labeled as light on crime. and of course we all want criminals to get as long of a sentence as possible because we all know that keeping a burglar behind bars for an extra ten years will put him on the straight and narrow when he’s too old to work and can’t collect social security because he never had a job.
But it seems to me that by cutting education are we not ensuring that the next generation will be spending their time in the prison we saved, because the kids did not get a proper education due to no teachers, and no books?
Here in Texas they made the choice to cut Education without so much as a mention of the prison system. I guess prison is a higher priority here then our kids are. What do you think? Spend available money on Prisons or Schools.
a fine for drugs, not prison time, and equal education for the first born only, it is not my fault you have to many kids, i do not have any,
