I need help writing a thesis statement for History Day 2011. My topic is Animal testing
A thesis statement must be arguable…
This is what i have so far.
“Animal testing is a debatable topic. Two different reasonable sides of the debate cause controversy all around the world
My teacher said this ” Your thesis should be one sentence and should rep. an arguable point that can can be proven through research”
Please help me write a thesis statement.

I don’t really know much about your topic, so I’m not sure how to help. However, I do know that your thesis would be better as one sentence, and should be the overlying theme that you’re trying to prove in your essay. It shouldn’t be too generic, and should probably include the main topics you’re going to discuss. It needs to have impact, and not sound wishy-washy.
