Yamaha Cd Recorder Drivers
How do I record electronic keyboard on my computer?
My son has a Yahama. I have both PCs and Macs in my house. I have GarageBand on the Mac, but after exhaustive work and help from the Apple community, no luck getting my Mac to recognize the Yahama. I did connect it to my Toshiba PC via USB and it recognized the Yamaha and installed the drivers successfully. However, I have no software on that PC that will allow me to record what is played. Even sound recorder doesn’t seem to recognize the MIDI device. What is a good cheap (or even free trial software) software that will allow my son to play his keyboard so that I can capture the sounds as .aiff or .wav files and burn a CD? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
have you tried using the keyboard?
the computer keyboard can be used as a make shift keyboard.
just start a new track in garageband, make it software instrument, and then click window and musical typing.
then it will put the keyboard up so you can make music.
then when you make the song
just click share in garageband and select send to itunes
then when it opens in itunes, high light it and select advanced and then convert selection to mp3.
then it will be in mp3 format and then just burn it to a cd.
